Our Story
Founded by Madieye and Awa Gueye, Yassa was inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Senegal’s Wolof tribe. We serve generous portions of authentic dishes like our namesake Yassa—a savory, citrus-marinated chicken, lamb, or fish, grilled to perfection and topped with tender onions seasoned with our chef’s secret blend. From our beloved Maffe peanut stew to vegetarian favorites and freshly brewed Ataya tea, every plate is a celebration of West African comfort food.
